WISDOM

“I follow the course of righteousness along the paths of justice, to endow with wealth those who love me and fill their treasuries. For he who finds me finds life and obtains the favor of Adonai. If you feel like you can’t slow down, like if you pause everything is gonna fall apart… I need you to hear me:

God’s wisdom will multiply your time, energy, and resources but you have to slow down long enough to receive it.

You think you don’t have time to pause, but you don’t have time NOT to pause (Proverbs 19:2).

Because every time you rush, you bleed time in other ways: wrong decisions, wrong tools, wrong partnerships, wrong offers… and then you spend months cleaning up what one day of waiting could’ve prevented.

The Give God Room™ Method

Pick one decision you feel pressure, panic or hurry about RIGHT NOW and do this simple 4-step reset:

1. PLAN: Write the plan, idea or decision down. What are you considering and why? What questions do you have? What timeline do you feel like it needs?

2. PRAY: Present it to God like the business partner He actually is. Ask for wisdom.

3. WAIT (with a deadline): Choose 1–7 days. Put it on your calendar.

4. MOVE: On the due date, review what you sensed and move forward with peace.

Remember that lack is a lie. Because the Lord is your Shepherd, there is more than enough provision in the Kingdom for you to do what God called you to do… without rushing. You already have enough time, money, advantage, opportunity, creativity, margin, etc—whatever it is you think you need is available to you if you just slow down long enough to receive it.

TRUST

Say this out loud to build your faith on the Jesus in you.

Lord Jesus, I receive Your pace. I release the pressure to hurry.

You said, “Come to Me… and I will give you rest.” I bring You my anxiety and take Your yoke upon me because Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light (Matthew 11:28–30). I trust that as I slow down to acknowledge You in all my ways, You will put me at the right place at the right time (Proverbs 3:5–6). And I believe Your wisdom is multiplying my time, energy, resources, and peace (Proverbs 8).

In Jesus’ name, amen.

HELP

This week, in lieu of our normal newsletter, I wanted to give you a little breather from new content. While my goal is to produce fresh messages for you each week, I’m also really intrigued by the idea of taking a pause to review what’s already been shared. We did this last month and I kinda liked it.

We’re so conditioned to consume that sometimes we aren’t taking enough time to really chew on the words God gives us each week.

This pause helps me, especially when I’m not able to release a new message for the week due to schedule craziness; but it can also be your cue to go back over some of the aha moments, Holy Spirit revelations & instructions you may have received and already forgotten about in the midst of life’s hustle.

You may already be sitting on an answer to that prayer you just prayed but don’t realize it because it’s buried in notes you never return to.

So, I hope you’ll take time to review last month’s digest below and see if there’s anything in there that you might need for this season.

How could your gift ever “expire” when it’s a manifestation of God’s own essence in you?

If you’ve been feeling like you missed your moment or it’s too late to start (or restart), this powerful question is helping me keep my gift in perspective.

Your gift can never become irrelevant because, in essence, it’s God loving people through you. God IS love. And people always gon’ need love.

Your gift is not expired no matter how long it’s been since you last shared it. Your voice still needs to be heard and someone is waiting on the unique gift God can only give through you.

In this week’s video, I encourage you with the scriptures that are anchoring me around this truth and I give you two quick ways to restart (or start) this week.

5-Minute Micro Step

Set a 5-minute timer and take one micro step toward picking your gift back up again (or for the first time).

Examples:

• Write 1 sentence.

• Record a 60-second voice note.

• Outline the idea in your Notes app.

• Re-open the draft you abandoned and edit one paragraph.

• Tell a friend you’re coming back as accountability

Remember that your gift always works when you work it. Not because of you, but because it’s God and He’s faithful. He’s the one working through you to reach people He already has a plan for. He just needs you to be a microphone for Him to speak from. All you gotta do is show up, let Him speak, and then He does the rest.

TRUST

Say this out loud to build your faith on the Jesus in you.

I thank You Lord Jesus that your love, power & creativity never run out. And because I stay connected to You, I will never cease to bear fruit when I work my gift. Give me grace to show up and let my yes feed the people You already planned for it to reach. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

I know “God is your CEO”, as we all say, but have you actually made Him your business coach too? Or, have you yielded that role in your heart to someone else?

It’s so easy to inadvertently look to your beloved business coach as “god” when it comes to guiding what you’re building. Idolatry is sneakyyyyy. But, as harsh as it may sound in this context, God commands us: “You shall have no other gods before Me.” — Exodus‬ ‭20‬:‭3‬ ‭(New King James Version)

A simple way to practice this is:

God is my Head Coach.

This dusty is my assistant coach (You see how dusty’s title stayed lowercase? Intentional lol).

In this week’s video, I want to show you how to make God your Head Business Coach in a very practical, day-to-day way so that any coach or program you ever invest in has to line up with what God is already leading you to do, not replace it.

Here’s your tiny action step for the week…

Pray Before You Work

Before you start your next work session, invite God into it with a simple prayer, like:

“Father, I invite You into this work session.
Here’s what I’m planning to work on today, but I’m open to Your changes.
Give me wisdom for each task and help me follow Your Spirit, not my own thoughts. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done in my work today. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

That’s it. 30 seconds.

Do it for the rest of your work week and pay attention to how aware you are of God’s direction during your work time. This is such a beautiful, simple way to “practice God’s presence” as some of my pastor mentors say. He is always present to build with you if you create the space to notice Him!

TRUST

Say this out loud when you need to remind yourself that you have the BEST business coach / mentor available in Christ:

Jesus, You’re my Mentor.

• Jesus knew His purpose from a young age but didn’t start fully walking in it until His early 30s.

• He found time with God in the midst of his crazy ministry schedule. (Matthew 14:23, Mark 1:35, Luke 5:16)

• He built a team around Him that got the same results that He did (Luke 10:17)

• He endured haters (Matthew 12:14), betrayal (Luke 22:47-48), His own family not believing in Him (John 7:4-5), attempts on His life (John 8:59) & still accomplished His mission!

• The work He accomplished while He walked on the earth has impacted millions of lives and is STILL impacting millions today.

Lord we’re in awe of you!!!!! If you’ve been saying you need a mentor to take your business to the next level, you got the best One already!!! Keep your eyes on Him and watch how you AND what you’re building are transformed. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

Are you sensing God calling you higher but your brain is saying, “Lord… I’m not enough for all that.” 😅

Here’s what I want to remind you this week:

You’re right. You ARE inadequate. And that’s the point…

Jesus said, “Apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)

So that “I’m not enough” feeling is just your soul reminding you that you were never meant to carry this calling without Him. There’s 2 things you can do with this information:

1. Continue to hide, run away, shrink back, PROCRASTINATE…or

2. “Boast all the more gladly about [your] [inadequacy], so that Christ’s power will rest on [you]”(2 Corinthians 12:9b, adjustments mine) and RUN toward the next level God is calling you to knowing the weight of it rests on HIS shoulders, not yours.

In this week’s video, I go deeper into this mindset shift to take you from shrinking to soaring like you’re supposed to + give you two more mindset shifts God has used to help me navigate the next level transition you’re experiencing right now.

Visualize Future You (5-minutes)

Open your notes app or journal and finish these statements:

1. The person I’ve been keeps trying to keep me safe by: __________

2. The person I’m becoming is being called to: __________

Now, close your eyes and imagine the person you’re becoming 3 years from now; the one who said “yes” to God to show up and be the “mighty warrior” you truly are (Judges 6:12).

Take a few minutes to write down what you see present in your life. Consider areas like your relationship with God, yourself & others, your career, personal joy, health, home & wealth.

Remember: “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!” (Matthew 19:26)

TRUST

Say this out loud whenever you feel anxiety about your calling rise up this week:

Jesus, without You I can do nothing, but WITH You I can and will do everything You’ve called me to do! (Adapted from John 15:5)

HELP

Two things are the best medicine for anxiety around calling:

1. Meditating on God’s Word. Psalm 138:8 is perfect to focus on if this week’s topic is where you’re at right now. Read it in multiple translations if you can and rest in the fact that your calling rests on God’s shoulders, not yours.

Share Build Your Big Idea™ (BYBI)

Last week my best friend AND my own mama told me as kindly as they possibly could that I need to finish the work I’ve started with Big Idea Food®. Now, I’ve been working on BIF, as you may know if you’ve been rocking with me for years, but there are 2 key projects that have been “under construction” for far too long. It’s time to knock them out and I’ve been letting my inner squirrel get the best of me a bit too much lately.

Today is the first day I’ve committed toward this completion work since having those conversations and, wouldn’t you know it, a really shiny object in the form of a dope opportunity—that would consume my entire day if I said yes, mind you—got dropped into my lap bright and early this morning. Long story short, I had to pray 😂

It turned out to be a distraction that I had to pass on but whew! The line between staying on mission and staying available to the joyful spontaneities of life is THIN. Nehamiah’s words in this scripture brought me comfort as they reminded me of the “great work” I am doing that, right now, is a priority above even the shiniest of objects.

If you’re in a spot where you’re trying to focus on your own “great work” in the midst of the distractions of life, I hope Nehemiah’s words comfort you too—whether you have to say “no” now or some time in the future.

And trust, whatever you have to say “no” to now will pale in comparison to the fulfillment you’ll have from finally completing the work God asked of you in this season. And, because He’s so good, I’m sure He has some shiny object rewards waiting for you on the other side of your obedience too.

WISDOM

“Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.” -Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭(Holman Christian Standard Bible)

If you put more energy into reprogramming your mind than you do into working for wealth, security & comfort, you will skyrocket your business results this year.

Why?

Because renewing your mind does two things:

1. It transforms you, and

2. It enables you to know God’s “perfect” will.

You can’t prosper beyond the prosperity of your soul (Proverbs 23:7, 3 John 1:2), meaning effectually, your mind is your ceiling. You can work every strategy you see out here in these internet streets but until you become the person who can carry that result, you’ll either stay on a hamster wheel chasing it or never be able to hold onto it.

Transformation is the pathway to elevation.

Then, knowing God’s will is your cheat code to unlocking answered prayer (1 John 5:14-15). Renewing your mind with God’s Word is how you learn the “perfect” will of God. Imagine if you finally felt confident that you knew exactly what God wanted you to do next. You absolutely can.

I created this week’s video to support your mind renewal—specifically around your worthiness in Christ—which is foundational to your growth and success as a Christian founder.

Here’s your tiny action step for the week…

The “I can have it all” exercise (3-minutes)

1. Grab a notebook or piece of paper and set a timer for 3 minutes.

2. Read Romans 8:32 out loud 2-3 times, slowly, putting your name into, like this:

   1. “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for [your name], how shall He not with Him also freely give [your name] all things?” ‭‭- Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭32‬ ‭(New King James Version)

3. Write down every thing that comes to mind that your mind that God will freely give to you—especially anything that has felt out of reach or like a barrier lately.

4. Thank Him for not withholding each thing from you and ask Him to help you renew your mind to tangibly receive these things from Him.

I pray that this exercise gives you a mental picture of God smiling over you with open hands ready to pour out everything you need. He is your Shepherd and, in Christ, you lack nothing. You can have it all, Friend!

TRUST

Say this out loud (yes, out loud!):

Jesus, You are my worthiness.
Because I am in You, I am fully accepted and there is nothing God is withholding from me (Romans 8:32). I renounce “I don’t deserve” and “not for me” thinking in Your name. Instead, I joyfully receive all that You are freely giving to me (1 Timothy 6:17) and, with Your help, I commit to renewing my mind to become able to steward it wisely according to Your perfect will. I am not a spiritual orphan. I am a child of God.
And I am worthy in Christ of everything my Father has for me.
In Jesus’ name I declare, amen.

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” - John‬ ‭15‬:‭5‬ ‭(New King James Version)

If you’ve been trying to build a God-sized vision on self-energy, of course you feel tired, Friend! Jesus makes it plain in John 15 that fruit only forms when you stay connected to Him.

And here’s what makes that even more powerful: Jesus Himself is our wisdom. (1 Corinthians 1:30)

So when Proverbs 3 tells us that wisdom is “more valuable than silver or gold” and that “in wisdom’s hands are long life, riches, and honor”…it’s telling you something that was mind-blowing to me. Essentially:

Wisdom IS your dream life.

Can you see that, Friend?!

If you have Jesus = you have wisdom = you have your dream life!

So the question isn’t “Is my dream life possible?”

The real question is: Am I building this WITH Jesus… or am I carrying it like it’s all on my shoulders?

IMPLEMENTATION

Here’s your tiny action step for the week…

WITH God Journal Prompt (5 minutes)

1. Write your one 6–12 month goal at the top of a page:
   “By ___, I want to ______.”

2. Under it, answer these four prompts:

WISDOM: Father, what do You want me to know about this goal?
IMPLEMENTATION: What is one small step You want me to do this week?
TRUST: What truth do You want me to believe even if my circumstances don’t match yet?
HELP: Who or what support have You already provided that I need to receive?

Then, take the “I” step. Just “do whatever He tells you”. (John 2:5)

If your next step isn’t super clear after 5 minutes, give God more time to speak to you. Post that piece of paper up somewhere you can see it daily, and listen for His guidance as you go on about your day.

Spend time in His Word and be quiet in His presence when you can. Give it up to a week and see what comes up. God always answers His kids, we just have to position ourselves to hear it!

TRUST

Say this out loud (yes, out loud!):

Lord Jesus, I thank You that I am not carrying this goal alone.
With You, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). Because You are my wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:30) and my dream life (Proverbs 3:13-18), I rest in Your finished work (John 19:30) and I cast the care of this goal onto You because I know You care for me (1 Peter 5:7).
