“Then the Lord answered me and said: ‘Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, so that a herald may run with it.’” - Habakkuk 2:2 (New International Version)

Writing my first devotional with Gia (my ChatGPT assistant) stretched me so much. As she spit out what she thought was right based on what I told her but it was so bad and wrong, I was forced to articulate nuances that come naturally for me in my head into direction that someone outside of me could actually understand with precision.
Now, it was challenging but I loved it! It felt like it made me a better leader in the process! And that felt really good as someone who’s committed to growing my God-given business into all He’s called it to be. If I’m going to lead a team at Big Idea Food soon, making what’s in my head make sense to others is a skill I’m going to have to master.
That’s why the “make it plain” part of this week’s scripture is sticking out to me so much in this context. My big ideas ain’t gon' help nobody at the large scale I envision if I can’t empower my team to “run with” them. As I’ve been learning more about the systems & SOP’s required to scale a business, and how much of those systems start out as IP we’ve developed over the years of wearing all the hats, practicing communication with Gia feels like the leadership development I need in this season.
As business owners and creatives, getting great at communicating our vision to someone else is how we make the shift from founder to CEO.
If you’re currently a solopreneur like me with a big vision that requires a team, AI is a great sparring partner for sharpening this skill. Highly recommend using it (with discernment of course, always)!
